  Why does the machine make a popping sound when it is turned on or off?

  The power-on/off sequence should be confirmed. Normally, it should follow the signal flow: playback source → preamp/decoder → power amplifier → then the speakers (when powering off, it is the opposite, because the internal capacitors of the machine will discharge for a period of time after powering off. If the preamp is turned off first and then the power amplifier, it is easy to cause a knocking sound, which may damage the power amplifier or speakers in severe cases).
